Mrs. Kristin Martin earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She is a Florida state-certified teacher holding certification in English grades 6-12, Exceptional Student Education K-12, Elementary Education K-6, and Preschool Education, and is Florida state-endorsed in Reading. Mrs. Martin is an accredited instructor with the Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW).

A Dyslexia Specialist, Mrs. Martin was trained and credentialed by the Academy of Orton Gillingham Practitioners and Educators, which is highly regarded as being the gold standard for educator preparation in literacy instruction for Dyslexics. Also trained and Master’s Level certified by Barton Reading & Spelling, Mrs. Martin is well-versed in providing reading and spelling interventions for struggling students of all ages. She has years of experience working with students with and without formal diagnoses and students of varying needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Expressive and Receptive Language Disorders, Other Symbolic Dysfunction, Auditory Processing Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, Neurological Disorders, Neuromuscular Disorders, and more. Her youngest student was five years old while her oldest was 80. She regularly enjoys self-study in the area of Dyslexia, reading meritorious books on the topic, as well as learning from the world's leading experts through podcasts, webinars, and video recordings. In addition, Mrs. Martin seeks out continuing education credits in the area of Dyslexia whenever possible. She enjoys reading and writing poetry; her favorite poet is Robert Frost. Mrs. Martin enjoys listening to Contemporary Christian music as well as Classical music. God has blessed Mrs. Martin with a loving husband for the past 30 years and four delightful sons who fill her heart with joy. Mrs. Martin spends her free time with her family, often playing board games or snuggling up on the couch together to watch classic TV, with Leave It To Beaver, Little House On the Prairie, and the Brady Bunch ranking in the top picks.
